What is Engineered quartz stone surfaces
Quartz stone surfaces are man made. The manufacturing process to make quartz to a slab or counter top makes use of raw quartz crystals, one of the hardest substances available. After the quartz has been selected and ground, the crystals are then combined with resin, a bonding agent, and color. All of this is heated and vibro-compacted to create an impenetrable surface. The quartz stone have to be composed of at least 93% quartz or they can't claim the durability, impermeability or the hardness of a real quartz surface. The final product is non-porous, has great durability and is stronger than granite.
Engineered Quartz stone surfaces are available in a wide variety of colors that can't be found naturally because the crushed quartz stone is combined with dye. Care and Maintnance
The ever lasting finish requires only simple and routine care to maintain its good looks. Cleaning with a damp cloth and a little liquid detergent will do the job. Because Engineered quartz?surfaces is impervious to stains, it will withstand exposure to tea, soda, wine, vinegar, lemon juice, and strongly colored spices. Just wipe away and the surface is like new again.
Any multi-purpose cleaner or detergent can be used on these stains. For extra stubborn spills, use a green scouring pad to shift the dirt. It won? damage the tough surface. Cleaning liquid like bleach is also good for removing stains that seem to be hard to remove at first.
Engineered quartz surfaces?is non-porous and will therefore keep its lustrous gloss and ultra smooth surface without polishing. However, occasional home polishing can enhance stain resistance and ease of cleaning. Any granite-polishing agent may be used.
Engineered quartz?surfaces can tolerate moderately hot temperatures for brief periods of time without warping, discoloring or otherwise being damaged.
